My Services

Counselling

Counselling is a journey that involves deep self-reflection, acceptance, and the development of healthy coping mechanisms. Through counselling, I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their emotions and work through the obstacles that may be preventing them from living life wholeheartedly. This involves in-depth self-examination, which can be challenging, but is a necessary step towards healing and growth.

Educating

Providing professional education on a broad range of subjects in a variety of different ways. I have experience in developing and facilitating workshops and I am a competent public speaker. The aim and intention is to help people develop, grow and gather new understanding and perspectives. This is especially important and meaningful when it comes to important issues impacting equality in society today. Having worked in Human Resources extensively, and as a former Actor, I am able to engage an audience with impact and meaning.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

My Counselling Approach

I have founded my practice on the basis of the humanistic practice of Carl R. Rogers. Rogers developed “person-centred therapy”/”Rogerian therapy” in the 1940s. With this he steered away from the traditional therapy model, in which the therapist is the sole expert in relation to the patient/client.

Instead, he introduced “counselling” as a non-directive and empathetic approach, in which the client plays an active role in his/her own therapeutic process.
