“You can make better choices for yourself every day. But first, it’s important to understand and develop an awareness of who you are and find peace with that.”

I was born and raised in Wiltshire in the UK. At seventeen, I moved to London to become an actor, and to live my truth as a gay man. I believed I would only feel safe and accepted in a big city. In between acting gigs I worked many jobs, often 24/7 to make ends meet. London life was a struggle. But finally something purposeful stuck when a friend recommended me for a job in Human Resources at Sony PlayStation.

I began to progress my career at pace, working for large international brands such as TOPSHOP TOPMAN, Starbucks and Booking.com. Through a lot of hard work and commitment, I grew into a Global Head of HR, leading teams of 60+, specialising in Talent Acquisition and People Leadership.

After 15 years, I was a careers expert, a leader of people and a passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion and wellbeing. Along my way, I have worked through some intense struggles with imposter syndrome and I have suffered mentally with grief, loss, anxiety, body image and self-esteem issues.

I was at the top of my game, but I felt that corporate life was no longer meaningful enough for me. I wanted to give back, to help other people, through the experiences I have overcome and the learnings I have made.

Just before the pandemic, I started studying psychology and counselling at the Dutch Academy of Coaching and Counselling, graduating in 2022. I presently live in Amsterdam where I founded my own Counselling and Coaching practice that supports people with personal life, health and wellbeing challenges, as well as with business and careers. I have particular expertise with the LGBTQ+ community and the broad range of challenges they face.

I have learnt that you can make better choices for yourself every day. But first, it’s important to understand and develop an awareness of who you are and find peace with that.

Doing this work on yourself will lead to contentment, joy, achievement, fulfilment and freedom. (which are not full-time feelings and emotions). My aim is to help you live as wholeheartedly as possible, which may include looking at pain and learning to cope better in times of struggle. For business and career growth, the approach is to build self esteem, a skill that takes practice.
